About us

GEOASPAI is a working group based at the University of Granada (Spain) dedicated to volcanic seismology.

One of our essential features is the use of new technologies to develop this activity (Artificial Intelligence, Signal Processing, Machine Learning, etc.).

Specifically, our work is structured around three essential axes:

Study of seismic-volcanic signals: We recognize and classify seismic signals.

Pattern recognition: We identify possible precursors to volcanic eruptions.

Seismic tomography: We analyze and interpret the internal structure of volcanoes.

All of this with the aim of generating knowledge and applying it as a tangible benefit to society.
