Proof of concept of using Deep Learning to forecast volcanic eruptions
From 01 / 12 / 2022 to 30 / 11 /2024
This project implements a novel approach to analyzing seismic-volcanic data for forecasting volcanic eruptions.
FOREVER will use advanced Deep Learning techniques and algorithms to analyze continuous seismic signals from a set of volcanoes to create a parametric seismic database.
By analyzing a variety of volcanic processes at selected volcanoes —both eruptive and non-eruptive cases— FOREVER will create a “case study inventory” to help forecast future volcanic eruptions.
